Opens up the child to social interaction. Remember to make eye contact, smile, and talk to the child while you do this movement. The energy flow goes into the chest and up to the face. Sometimes it also goes down the legs.

This means that you have had success! The movement is coordinating the basic brain reflexes needed for social interaction—the ability to turn the head and face the person, the ability to make eye contact, and the ability to tune the ear to the person’s voice.
